Enquiries sent through this website or made to our phone number are passed to independent arborists and tree contractors working in the Perth metro area, who contact you, inspect the tree and provide a quote.
Who does the work
The arborist or contractor who quotes the job is the business you deal with for that job. They set the price, agree the scope with you, carry out the work and are responsible for it. Any agreement for tree work is made directly between you and them. This website is not a party to it.
Insurance and qualifications
We ask the arborists and contractors we work with to hold the public liability cover the job needs. We do not monitor that cover over time, and we make no representation that any individual holds a particular qualification, accreditation, licence or level of insurance. Before work starts, ask to see a current certificate of currency for public liability insurance and, where workers are employed, workers compensation cover. If the job involves an elevated work platform, crane or work near power lines, ask how that part of the job will be done and by whom.
Council approvals and property boundaries
Some trees in Perth need council approval before they are removed or heavily pruned, including trees on heritage-listed places, trees on a council significant tree register, trees protected by a development approval and trees on the council verge. It is the property owner's responsibility to check whether approval is needed and to obtain it. Information on this site about council rules is general and may not reflect the current position of your council.
Where a tree is on or near a boundary, confirm who owns it before any work is booked. Arborists will not enter a neighbouring property without the owner's permission.
Power lines
Work near overhead power lines is controlled. Only people authorised to work near live electrical apparatus may prune or remove vegetation close to power lines. Nothing on this website is guidance on working near power lines yourself.
